Palmyra High School is a proud member of the Clarence Cannon Conference! The CCC is well know throughout the region as a tough group of teams that simply play a very physical brand of football. Physical both inside and outside the trenches. There are no easy wins in the conference, just hard fought victories and heartbreaking setbacks.
With that in mind, head coach Kevin Miles will have his (0-2) Panthers of PHS ready to travel to Macon tomorrow night to tangle with the (1-1) Tigers. The game will mark the first meeting between the two programs since 2019. The game will represent the "Orange and Black's" conference opener.
We'll check in with Coach Miles on what he expects when the Panthers faces MHS in less than 24 hours, plus we'll check in with one Panther standout regarding the return of quarterback Collin Arch to the line-up this week for the Panthers.
In the Western Illinois Valley Conference this week, Unity is set to play host to Camp Point Central. Both teams will hit the gridiron in Mendon at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow sporting identical (2-0) slates. The Mustangs and Panthers know each other well. They're rivals and both are ready for a slugfest on Football Friday Night when the whistle blows. We'll check in with UHS head coach Matt Woodworth about facing the Panthers defensive unit.
