The (1-1) Quincy Blue Devils are set to open Western Big 6 Conference play on the gridiron tonight at Flinn Memorial Stadium as they play host to the (1-1) Maroons of Moline. For QHS, the game comes one week after they were able to beat Alton 27-20, on the road, to pick up their first victory of the 2021 IHSA Fall season.

One positive note for the "Blue and White" this evening is that starting senior linebacker Jesus Johnson is scheduled to return to the turf this evening after being sidelined with an upper body injury last week. Johnson won't start at running back, but we'll have details on the player that head coach Rick Little and his staff will be calling on to get the job done against MHS.

At Advance Physical Therapy Field, the (2-0) Raiders of QND will be playing host to Marceline while in the WIVC, Unity High and Camp Point Central are set to collide in Mendon. Both the Mustangs and the Panthers check in with identical (2-0) slates. The action on the turf will heat up in the "Show Me State" as well. We'll take a look at some of the top games on tap for Week 3 of the high school football season.
