While we started off the early morning hours with some clouds, high pressure has since moved into the region. This cleared out all of the clouds, leading to a gorgeous sunny day. Daytime highs will be cooler also. Places like Macomb, Illinois, may only make it into the upper 70s but the rest of us will be in the low 80s. Dew points will also be lower, so we won't have to deal with any humidity. It will be very comfortable outside. Into Wednesday night, we'll have clear skies and light winds. That will allow temperatures to cool pretty easily, so we're all looking to have lows in the mid to upper 50s. That means our Thursday morning will have a fall-like feel to it. However, that fall-like feeling won't last. The high-pressure system will continue to influence our weather by providing us with another gorgeous sunny day. But it will gradually slide eastward through the day, which will change our winds around to the south. This will lead to temperatures warming.
I have tweaked weekend high temperatures a little bit. My latest forecast is coming up on WGEM News at Noon.
