Man who allegedly kidnapped Quincy woman arrested in Kentucky


MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (WGEM) -- The man accused of kidnapping a Quincy woman in July has been arrested in Marshall County, Kentucky, according to Quincy Police.

Police said Mario Mason, 40, was arrested on Tuesday.

According to police, on Tuesday a vehicle believed to be driven by Mason was located in Marshall County.

Police said the vehicle fled from Marshall County Sheriff's deputies, and Benton Police, and a pursuit began in rural Marshall County.

According to police, Mason parked the vehicle in a subdivision and ran into a wooded area.

Law enforcement reported they then began an extensive search using drones, police dogs, ATV's, and UTV's of the wooded area and were able to locate Mason and he was taken into custody at around 10:30 PM.

Quincy Police said Mason is facing numerous charges in Kentucky but will eventually be brought back to Adams County on the outstanding Kidnapping warrant which has a $300,000 bond as well as more possible charges as it relates to the Adams County cases.

Police added Mason is also wanted in Arkansas.

Mason is accused of kidnapping Tabitha Campbell, 36, of Quincy on July 17. Campbell was found in Arkansas on July 21.
