Summer Holding On

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

We are still under the influence of an area of high pressure and that will keep us mostly dry. A weak cold front tries to push into the area late Friday. But for now warm summerlike temperatures will continue through early next week. Look for highs to be well into the 80s through this weekend, and may tip the scales up to 90 in a few spots. Dry conditions are should to continue through the weekend, although a stray shower or thunderstorm can't be ruled out Friday evening. A very strong cold front will roll into the Tri-States near the first day of fall. As a result showers and thunderstorms will develop Tuesday or Wednesday. After the cold front comes through, kind of almost on cue, fall-like temperatures will make there way to the Tri-States.
