Court records show Parker Arrowsmith appeared with his attorney in Adams County Court and waived his right to a jury trial.

QUINCY (WGEM) -- A Quincy man was sentenced to 6 years in prison for distribution of child pornography and a Sex Offender Registration Act Violation for failure to report his internet identity on Friday.

The Adams County Circuit Clerk said that Parker Arrowsmith pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography and two counts of failure to report his internet identity. The other 3 counts were dropped.

Court documents show that Arrowsmith was charged in January with four counts of Child Pornography for sharing lewd images of a child on Snapchat.

The documents explain that Arrowsmith failed to alert the Quincy Chief of Police of his Snapchat account within three days of its creation.

Arrowsmith is a former employee of WGEM's production department but was not employed by WGEM News.
