The post-season is a special time of year for high school athletes and coaches. Dreams of state title victories and grand celebrations also fill the hearts and minds of area fans as well. For fans that have followed the Raiders soccer team at Quincy Notre Dame this year, the post-season started today for the "Blue and Gold on the pitch!" QND head coach Greg Reis had his squad ready to go as they opened regional play against Abingdon-Avon. We'll have game highlights from Advance Physical Therapy Field.

It was a game that may have lit a fire under the Blue Devils football team at Quincy High. In one of the most dramatic wins on the IHSA gridiron last Friday, QHS beat Geneseo 23-22 at Flinn Memorial Stadium thanks in large part to a sterling 3 touchdown effort by quarterback Adon Byquist. The talented sophomore and head coach Rick Little shared some insight on the win over the Maple Leafs and the road ahead.

The Palmyra Lady Panthers saw their season come to a close today with a tough post-season setback. We'll have details, plus the latest from the NAIA college fairways where the Wildcats of Culver-Stockton College were in action earlier today.
